Was born in Istanbul in 1955. Entered the Department of Theatre at the faculty of language, history and geography in 1975. His life as an artist started the same year at the Ankara Theatre of Art. He became professional with Maksim Gorki's play "Ana". While taking the lead role in various plays Erkekli gave acting lessons at the main department of acting at Ankara University Faculty of Language, History and Geographie during the years 1994-2000. After quitting his job at AST and joining the BKM Actors, he was awarded with the Altin Portakal prize at the Antalya Film Festival in 2001 for his role in "Vizontele", took the role of Gurdal Tosun, who passed away in August 2000, in the play "Sen Hic Atesbocegi Gordun Mu?", played in the TV series "Bir Demet Tiyatro" and in the play "Bana Bir Seyhler Oluyor". The artist, who received the Afife Jale prize for his role in the theatre play "Bana Bir Seyhler Oluyor", took a role in the TV series "Bir Istanbul Masali". |
